How should I sleep with my relaxed hair? How can I protect my hair from breakage while I sleep? Will the way I go to bed with my hair make a difference? How do I sleep with relaxed hair?
Put simply, the way you treat your hair while you're a sleep can be just as important as the way you treat it when you're awake. You can definitely not just go to bed with your hair in any condition whether you have relaxed hair or are all natural. When you're hair is relaxed or chemically treated it is more sensitive to breakage (in most cases) so making sure that you care for your hair even when going to bed is really important.
There are 3 Major points before going to bed which will help your hair remain healthier and prevent breakage resulting in faster growing hair.
Take care of your hair; whether you're awake or asleep and it will grow and prosper to its full potential. Love your hair and It will be the best it can be for you.

- Sleep with a silk scarf or stocking cap on your head. You can tie your hair in a bun (or pony) or wrap your hair under the silk scarf or stocking cap. If you go to sleep without anything protecting your hair your hair will be likely to get caught under you when you turn or get hooked on your sleeping clothes or bedding. By making sure that your hair is covered and protected you will be saving your hair from unnecessarily tangling and breaking.
- Moisturise your hair before bed. Sleep is a good few hours of rest and protection for your hair from styling, manipulation, heat, weather, etc. By making sure your hair is adequately moisturised before bed and then covered (by a cap or scarf) you're allowing your hair a good few hours to absorp all the moisture, revitalise and strengthen itself.
- Massage your scalp. A good scalp massage (especially with something that will moisturise or treat your scalp) can do wonders for your hair. It allows a good blood flow which will increase growth levels, is relaxing, and can ensure that whatever you're massaging into your scalp (essential oils or growth aids) reach complete depths of your scalp. By doing this before wrapping your hair for the night you allow your hair a much deserved treatment with many hours to enjoy it (as you sleep). It is also easiest to remember to giver yourself a head massage before bed than it would be at a random hour of the day.
